Hello everybody! Christmas is almost here! Now I don't know about you but 2012 went by so fast for me! I mean I still can't believe that there are only 3 days until Christmas. I hope you have all your presents ready for friends and relatives, and if not you better hurry because the Christmas rush has started! Now I need you to be honest, I'm not the only one who searches around for presents am I? Although I never have luck finding them. I'm pretty sure my parents don't even have them in the house, but I still look for them! I've only once in my entire life have found a Christmas present. And I felt ... um ... let's call it guilty but not for long because my mom found out when I couldn't stop giggling about it! Have you ever found a Christmas gift? And if so was did your parents find out? |

However, he has to leave his family because his dad brings him to work and makes fun of someone who's small and calls him an Elf and his dad yells at him so he leaves. After he's walking on a bridge and sees Santa crash his sleigh. His sleigh can't fly because there's no people who believe in Santa. Buddy finds Santa in a park, and then his dad and his brother find buddy with Santa. Then his brother takes the naughty and nice list from Santa and goes to a news site and says what everyone wants on live T.V. This helps everyone to finally believe in Santa, so Christmas is saved! At the end of the movie buddy marries the girl he liked and they all live happily ever after in the North Pole. Watch the movie trailer below. QUESTION: What was your favourite part of the movie? MERRY CHRISTMAS. Today we had a rehearsal for our school Christmas concert. Every grade was there, starting with the grade 8 class and ending with the grade one class. Our class sang many songs but the one that stood out to me the most was Silver Bells because it is one of the most enjoyable songs to the ears. The song tells about how friends and family are a really big part of Christmas.
We also had the school choir sing some Christmas Carols that people hadnt heard before, including me. Did you know Blitzen was one song that I hadnt heard before. The grade one had a fantastic performance of Why is there Christmas Eve and the famous song we all know, Jingle Bells. I think through all these weeks of hard work and practice that we all deserve a long rest....good thing Christmas Break is only two more days away. Thank you to all of those people who participated in the concert. A special thank you goes to Mr. H for teaching all of us these great songs. Question: What was your favourite Christmas Song Thats all for now, keep blogging, bye! Jack B. On Tuesday we went to an archeological museum to learn about the First Nations cultures. The museum was located on a specific site where a First Nations tribe once lived about 500 years ago right here in our own city!
We started off the day by watching a short video about First Nations. Then we looked at some cool artifacts from 500 years ago. After we took a walk through the gallery. Next, we learned about the Fur Trade and played a short game. We ate lunch, and headed outside to play Lacrosse, Canada's national sport. We also learned (and got to sit in) longhouses. Finally, we made medicine pouches and pots made of clay. Here are two questions for you: What was your favourite part of the trip, and what is something new that you learned? P.S. Pictures and Video from our trip will be posted sometime during the Christmas holidays, so keep checking the pictures and video page!! Today our class did our secret Santa gift exchange. There were lots of gifts, smiles, and watching people's reactions when opening their presents. A lot of people in our class got their friend as their secret Santa. It was really interesting to see how well that person knows their friend. Everyone was really shocked on who got them for secret Santa. Some people already knew who got them for secret Santa! Over all everyone got fun, interesting, and unique presents. Do you like your present? Question: I would like to know what do you like about your secret Santa?
On Friday our school went to the High School next door to us to see a dance recital titled Fallen Stars. I am positive the dancers named the recital Fallen Stars because all the singers who sang all the songs that were played in the recital died. Overall I thought the recital was cool, I liked the songs they played and the dances they did. My favorite song was Jail House Rock by Elvis, what was your favorite song?
By Zack Hey everyone! I am SO excited for the Christmas holidays! What about you? Remember those days when you were really little and you wanted to stay up really late and (try) to see Santa? Or remember Christmas morning when you’d wake up super early and try to get your parents out of bed and they kept telling you “go back to sleep it’s 7:00 in the morning.” Well, believe it or not, you all just wanted to open your presents and not want anything to do with the pictures your parents wanted to take or your mom and dad opening their presents. Well first off, it is really important to pay attention to your parents because they paid a lot of attention to you, not just when you were opening your presents but ALL the time. Second, you really need to remember the real meaning of Christmas. The real meaning of Christmas is.............. Wait a minute, you all should know the real meaning of Christmas by know. Do you?
Today was the last day of the L.E.A.P. program. I thought that the program was always very fun and the instructors were very nice. I loved all the games we played like hotdog tag, and the one where we had to roll the ball and try to hit the other side wall. I really liked the one where we had to pick a partner, go to one side of the gym, and run at each other and hit the body part that the instructors said. I wonder if L.E.A.P. stands for something. Maybe it means loins, elephants, ants, and platypus. That would mean that they really liked animals! I hope that some other people come to our school to show us new games, but Miss Tamasi’s games will always be the best! Questions: what was your favourite game and what do you think l.e.a.p. stands for?
Hi Class,
I hope you don't mind but I asked Miss Tamasi if I could write a special blog all about Dana since I am her Secret Santa. I think Dana is really cool because:
Hey everyone, I have a question for you: what do you like best about Dana? What do you like about the person you have for Secret Santa? I hope Dana is having a good week. I can't wait until our pot luck on Monday when we get to finally know who our Secret Santa is! From Dana's Secret Santa In V.I.P today, we learned about drugs. Have you taken drugs? You better not have. They are bad for you. Some examples of bad drugs are Marijuana, Tobacco, Meth, and anything poisonous. But there are good drugs which are called prescription medication. Prescription drugs are technically good drugs that are recommended by doctors to provide relief for a particular sickness. Some examples of good drugs are Tylenol, Buckleys, and Advil. If used improperly, good drugs can become bad drugs (i.e. taking prescription medication when you are not sick.)
Those are some type of drugs. And there are many ways to get it inside your body. Like sniffing stuff you shouldn’t be, inhaling, needles, and pills. Those are just a couple, but I think there are a lot more. There are many forms of drugs too, like crystal form, solid, liquid, etc… After that whole blog on drugs, here’s a question for you. Do you think there are more good drugs in the world yes or no and are you going to take drugs when you’re older? |
